My wife and I are sick of cooking daily and want to do meal prep. I'm a competing athlete (season for my sport is currently off but I still like exercising) as well as a university student. My wife is also a university student and we have a younger kid. Our kid is not picky and eats everything no issue. Trying to find meal prep that will be as close to the following as possible. -Budget friendly. I have $150/month that I can use on food. -Freezer friendly. Freezer space is not an issue. I have a freezer also where I train that can hold several meals. -Can last at least two weeks frozen. -Good for athletes. Have to stay in shape as much as possible and we just really don't like junk food. -Quick prep. With university, kid, and training it doesn't leave a ton of time. Slow cooker or instapot meals also work so we can start them and then go do homework and pack them when done.
I already have a good spice collection and some glass divided meal prep containers. Hoping to get a couple dozen recipe suggestions at least so we can cycle through things. I'm ok with eating almost identical meals every meal but it would be ideal to not have to for my wife and kid. I am also planning on shopping this weekend to get whatever I need to do this.
