Question about endings

I know that someone said that average routes will have like 3-5 dates before greying out and saying that their storylines are being developed. Are they really though? For example Xiang and Sora, really dramatic endings. Are they just leaving it at that?? (I'm not spoiling anything dw). Only like 3 routes I've done have had endings that feel like there's closure (though I wasn't too happy with Aleck's lol)
What are yalls thoughts? And who do you feel needs to come back?
