I often see it stated that some 3rd party exams are “deflated”. I have take 6 Kaplan exams, and have not managed to score over 505. I know my own shortcomings and why I am not scoring higher, I also see sometimes people saying to add 5-10 points to your Kaplan/ Blueprint score and that is a more accurate representation of your AAMC score. While I would to do this mentally, it doesn’t make any sense to me and I take the score I get at face value. Are my current scores truly representative of what I would get on AAMC test?
For reference I took AAMC before content review and got a 489 and retook the same exam 3 months later (my memory of the questions was spotty at best) and got a 503, which I take 3-5 points off of just because it was a retake.
Any comments are appreciated.
