Puerto Rico test taker here! Just woke up and it’s noon, got a little carried away with post test drinks at home. Gives you an idea haha
So quick thoughts from me:
Spanish speakers,
read medical journal articles or the tiny pamphlet ls that come with Rx medications, any word you don’t know or understand (other than chemical compounds) look up! Trust.
I am bilingual but speak Spanish at home and with friends, wow it was tough getting through those CARS passages. And interpreting the data in graphs wasn’t just that, the articles that came with the graphs were Byzantine complex, frankly exhausting for someone who’s brain is wired to read in English interpret in Spanish answer in English.
Other than that I have to say you guys here and the guys in r/premed helped out a lot, I found out about: Anki, Uworld and tons of other cool hints and tips while on Reddit and I will forever be grateful and try to give back. Lurker no more!
Wish you all the best!
Now the real work begins. (Hopefully!)
*oh and layer your clothes, the temp fluctuations between the cold a f test room and the waiting area where you take breaks etc, forgot to take that into account
**also don’t do chapstick under your mask......it’ll turn into a oil slick in the Louisiana bayou situation, uncomfortable a f.
