I get why they changed it again, I guess. But there’s a couple reasons it sucks

1. The lines they changed don’t flow as good as they used to

2. The anime grunts and shit they put over any reference to “Asian” are just awkward

3. On a baseline art integrity level it shouldn’t be changed. It’s not like this is a censored version, but they are straight up altering the existing one. On Spotify it’s the only way to listen to the song, they are literally covering up what they did.

I can see why they changed it though like I said. I guess you could see it as racist, or insulting or whatever, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to change it. Sure they were immature when they made the song, and it’s not some piece of high art, or biting comedy. But it’s still music and should still be kept the same. Especially when the changes made are at a deficit to how the song sounds. Even if you’re looking at it like they’re trying to stop their past selves from looking racist or whatever. That doesn’t mean you should go back and delete and change old work. Look at Beastie Boys for example, in their documentary-on stage-thing they talked about their song “Girls” which is a song that uses exaggeration and ridiculousness to make comedy. Later in their career they got away from that sorta music, but they didn’t go back and change it. A. They couldn’t and B. They just made different music, and changed their brand that way. So yeah, I don’t think this is okay on an art integrity level, and it sounds shittier. I mean bruh this song is about having sex with animated women. It’s not supposed to be good or official, or follow the rules or what-fuckin-ever it’s kinda the pint of rap not to do that. (Also were people really insulted by the stereotypes exaggerated to the point of parody, and use of the word retard?)
