Let me start by saying I know it’s a real job and these are outlined when given the job, but I still think it’s stupid. Any call out even with extenuating circumstances is a write up except for if you have a doctors note AND coverage, even though coverage is not always possible. They make calling in almost impossible, and for days like today where it’s cold, it snowed all night and the roads are probably COMPLETELY ice, I would like the option to either call in or be able to come in later once the roads have been cleared, but that is not an option. And I know everyone else is driving in the same conditions, but it shouldn’t be EXPECTED for people to drive when we’re LITERALLY being told there is a risk in doing so.
