Been an uptake in fake 20s recently and management making us pay it back.

Is that even legal???

When we're really busy, management gets on our ass about the time. When I'm taking cash and this happens, I just start grabbing money and not really taking my time to check. There are some really good fakes out there and one time I (MAYBE) got tricked and was made to pay it back.

Thing is. Other peiple covered the drawer too that night. Other hands always touch the drawer when we go on break.

How is this fair???

We have a counterfeit checker back there, but it does not work.

Only been blamed once. Not even sure it was me. But I was worried I would get fired if I did not pay it back.

A coworker had a pen he would bring, but they literally wouldn't let him use it because it was "not always accurate." It's so quick too. Better than nothing. But they said no. Not like the deposit machine in the office is any better. It rejects real money all the time for simply being crumpled.
