Post Body

• How old are you? What's your gender? Give us a general description of yourself.

I'm 18, female but maybe nb, idk. I like art, and am currently about to enter my freshman year of college majoring in graphic design. I have 2 jobs, one at a craft store, another where I'm designing a mascot for a local company. I can't drive, although I'd like to, but for now I bum rides off of my mom and other people close to me (they don't mind and I give them gas money). Other hobbies and passions of mine include but aren't limited to: Soccer (goalkeeping specifically), the furry fandom (sorry), taxidermy, snowboarding, and just all forms of arts and crafts in general tbh.

• Is there a medical diagnosis that may impact your mental stability somehow?

I have ADHD and extremely (socially) anxious.

• Describe your upbringing. Did it have any kind of religious or structured influence? How did you respond to it?

I was raised in a home where we technically were "christian" but we never went to church, never read the bible, only prayed sometimes and chatted casually about god on occasion. Outside factors and doubt eventually weighed in. I've now grown out of this belief but I still wonder about a christian god a lot, the idea of that hell really scares me.

• What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not?

As previously mentioned, I work at a craft store and am a graphic designer for a local company. I like them. Gives me a sense of achievement and belonging, and helps me to indulge in my interests. I've gained social confidence from the craft store, and it's helped me out in the real world a good bit.

• If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?

I probably wouldn't feel too lonely if I had an entire weekend to myself. It actually does sound pretty nice to have some free time, although most of the time I spend my free time with friends. I haven't really been alone like that before, so maybe I would feel pretty lonely, I can't know for sure.

• What kinds of activities do you prefer? Do you like, and are you good at sports? Do you enjoy any other outdoor or indoor activities?

I Iike to think I'm fairly athletic, but I don't regularly exercise so maybe I'm lying to myself. I have stamina at least. I think I'm good at the sports I've been involved in. Snowboarding and soccer goalkeeping, I'm good at. (not the best, I still make a fair amount of mistakes). I like hiking and exploring the woods. It's fun to find bones and stuff. I also kayak sometimes.

• How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?

I guess I'm curious, I don't really think about how much curiosity I have but I'd say Im probably much more curious than not. I definitely have way more ideas that I execute. All kinds of projects and ideas go unfinished for me. I don't really know what environmental and conceptual ideas are. But one big example of what I do is think of tons of art and animation projects I could do, and just never end up doing them.

• Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?

I don't think so. I am bad at wording. I don't think I'd be the best option as a teacher or leader. Maybe in the right situation. I feel too prideful to call myself a follower rather than a leader, but at it's core, maybe that's what I am. I will say I can be stubborn. I don't know a lot about leadership styles, mine would probably be pretty passive though.

• Are you coordinated? Why do you feel as if you are or are not? Do you enjoy working with your hands in some form? Describe your activity?

I don't think I'm coordinated. I'm not really all together most of the time, and I'm pretty disorganized. I like working with my hands, but isn't that what most work is?

• Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.

Yes yes you've probably noticed by now. Majoring in graphic design for college, but I like all sorts of stuff. Painting, drawing, digital art, cross stitch, crochet, crafting, just all of the above. I can't really list all the artistic things I like, since the list is so broad.

• What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?

The past makes me sad sometimes, I think I sometimes romanticize it and try to make it into art. The future is worrying sometimes, but I kinda just go with the flow when it comes to big decision making. I think I'm someone who mainly focuses on the present, but not in a grounded sort of way. I just take advantage of the daily delights and live moment by moment. I do tend to think often about the past and future, but only when I set aside time for it.

• How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?

I normally just say yes. I can be kind of a pushover, but at the same time, I can also be pretty lazy and sometimes not do things if I have the chance not to. If I decide to help someone, it's probably because I want them to like me.

• Do you need logical consistency in your life?

I don't really know what that means, but it sounds important. I would probably want it. For something to be constantly logical sounds like a positive trait.

• How important is efficiency and productivity to you?

It's important in the sense where I know it's important but I'm not good at it.

• Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?

I try not to. Maybe I do without knowing, but I feel guilty if someone's making decisions based off of what they think I want.

• What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?

Already explained I'm pretty certain, but I like the show and tell aspect I suppose. I like being able to create, find, or do something cool that I can show off and get appreciated for.

• What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?

I don't really know my learning style. Lately I've come to notice I do better when someone shows me visually what to do, preferably 1-on-1, not one person teaching a group. I think I like clear instructions. Bulletpointed summaries are a big help. I of course prefer classes that involve creativity, but I don't think that's a hard limit.

• How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?

That's kind of a hard question. I feel like I'm somewhere in the middle? Like I'll get a good idea of what I want to do, but have fun and don't think to strictly about it as I go.

• What are your aspirations in life, professionally and personally?

I want to be successful in a field where I am enjoying myself. I wanna make a name for myself I guess you could say. Not in a super famous way, but I want my work to "wow" an audience from time to time. Personally, I'd like to end up living in the typical home-y scenario. I find a partner that I like. We get a cute place together. We get pets. Maybe kids. We love each other and have fun together.

• What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?

I fear physical pain. I can't stand the thought of certain extremely painful circumstances. That's of course not my only fear, but it was the first I thought of. I'm also very socially anxious. Another big fear is conflict. Like arguments. Social situations and conflict like that makes me uncomfortable. When I think of things I hate, animal abuse and transphobia are the first two things that come to mind. I don't know why exactly those are a big two. I find myself extremely empathetic and when vulnerable groups are attacked, it makes me upset.

• What do the "highs" in your life look like?

Attention, sex, impulse spending, eating good food, talking to friends, indulging in an aesthetic

• What do the "lows" in your life look like?

Letting myself get manipulated, being extremely messy, being unhygienic at times, being whiny and childish

• How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?

I think I'm one to daydream a lot, but I don't float too far away. I can still be mostly aware of my surroundings when I need to be. I do have ADHD, so paying attention doesn't always come easily.

• Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?

Sex, sleep, food, the temperature, my personal relationships, the story I'm writing. Just random stuff honestly. Or I'd probably be pretty worried about the blank empty room, I think I'd like to get out of there.

• How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?

This is a hard question but I think I'm pretty impulsive on important decision making. I just make choices on a whim a lot of the time, and usually it turns out alright. I normally don't change my mind, but nothing's permanent, so if I don't like it, I can likely change it.

• How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?

I don't think I take too long? Sometimes it takes me a while to get a deep understanding, but I'm fairly emotional. Heart over head type.

• Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?

Oh god I think I do this all the time. As previously mentioned, I'm afraid of conflict so I usually just try to portray myself as accepting of beliefs I disagree with.

• Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why?

I break the rules often yes. I think authority can do what it wants, I can always just sneak around. I break rules because it's fun and I normally don't get caught. If I'm having fun and not hurting anyone who caares.
