Hi everyone hopefully someone in here will be able to help me out. I dont know too much about mazdas other then basic mateinence. So for starters i have a 2002 mazda protege5, i took it to a new mechanic as my usual one was booking weeks out. I took it in for a wheel bearing replacement and they told me that my right calibar is siezed and because of that i also need new breaks, however my sister also has a mazda (slightly different model) and had the same problem with the wheel being siezed, but she didnt need her breaks completely replaced. I never noticed any other problems with my breaks or other wheels, so the mechanic saying this seems kind of random, and i kinda want another opinion because they have quoted me 900 to do all of it, so my question is if my calibar is siezed do i need to also need to completely replace the breaks? Any advice appreciated!
