Have no idea how to UV this hair

Opted to make my character's hair all one piece of geo but it's become so complex and so far from anything I've UV'd in the past that I'm completely stumped. Here's the piece of geo and what the UV currently looks like, I'm just wondering if it even is possible to have good UVs here, and if so where shud I even begin to cut. Thanks!
