Hi, I ask this more as a way for people to discover and share new ways of using Maya. Im primarily an environment artist however i am super interested in what you all have to say!
One thing i suggest to people learning maya is that they should invest most of their time into the interface and finding out just how the general maya workflow goes, This is instead of learning how to make objects, say a Chair or a Piano which only show you specefic pipelines and really narrows down your idea of what you can do.
Another thing I have to always remind people about when they first start using maya is to use the marking menu whenever they can. Get rid of the UI, Get a second screen and drag as much away from your primary monitor as you can. I went from using a custom shelf to 95% marking menus in under a month, so you can do it too!
So yes, what advice do you guys have?
