Galactic instability in Legends
Post Body

Now I’m not a Legends expert, but I have read some of the books. In this timeline, it always seemed to me that ever since ANH, there was a major galactic military/political crisis every five years or less. (Death Star being destroyed, Endor, Thrawn Campaign, Reborn Emperor, Yuuzhan Vong, Camaas, etc. and much smaller crises very frequently. (All the assassination attempts on the Solo family for example).

Am I about correct in this assessment, or am I over-exaggerating? What impact would all this have on an average citizen? A soldier? Did the galaxy as a whole ever seem to tire from the constant crises? Is there any real world time period/region that’s similar to this? (Out of Universe I’m aware that this is because the franchise is literally called Star Wars and it makes for good stories, but I’m talking about in-universe).
