What would’ve happened if Anakin didn’t “try it” on Mustafar?
Post Body

The Jedi Order has been decimated, their previously unfailingly loyal Clone Troopers have turned on them and thousands of Knights and Masters alike lay dead across the Galaxy. On the distant planet of Mustafar, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker have been engaging in a duel for the fate of the Force, until the former seizes the high ground and warns his former apprentice to give up the fight, for there is no way for him to win now.

In reality of course, Anakin does attempt the enormous jump, just as he knew his master had once achieved against Sith assassin Darth Maul, and is gravely wounded in the process. But, what happens if he heeded Kenobi’s warning and didn’t jump, what then? Do they go their separate ways, or try to talk each other over to their own side? They can’t just stand there forever but, as soon as Kenobi moves, he gives up his only advantage, so what was his plan?
