I've been looking through all the rosters and salaries of every NBA team and I honestly can't find a second obvious free agent suitor for DeAndre outside of the Mavericks.

Most teams are capped out obviously. But even the teams who aren't, don't need a Deandre Jordan.

Bulls: Have a 2nd year Lauri and a 1st year Wendell who need to develop.

Philadelphia: Joel Embiid

Sacramento: They’ve got too many bigs as it is.

Atlanta: Doesn’t fit their timeline. May not even fit their roster if the Hawks are trying to be the discount Warriors.

Indiana: Myles Turner may have been down this year but I highly doubt they’re looking to replace him with a 30 year old.

Phoenix & Orlando: Just drafted rookie bigs.

Lakers: Will be busy pursuing Paul George/LeBron James/Kawhi Leonard at first. There’s Boogie rumors. There’s also a chance that some team puts them on the clock with a Julius Randle offer sheet and they have to figure that out.

The main thrust being, without a second suitor, the Mavs can lowball the Clippers with trade offers or lowball Deandre salary-wise. They are under no obligation to give him $20 million per year. There's no one else to do that.
