So I'm trying to listen to the Jurassic Park breakdown with Robert Meyer Burnett. I had never heard of him before and was really curious to hear his perspective since he's a professional. Also I fucking love JP.
I'm sorry, but this episode is PAINFUL. His tangents are long-winded and by the time be gets to the end, the point was lost along the way. I get a vibe of him self-aggrandizing, always directing the conversation to his experiences. It's almost like he thought the episode was an interview and not a discussion on a specific film. And then he has bad takes like when he says what HE would have done with a JW sequel.
The part that killed me was when Fringy was trying to say something about editing and RMB interrupted him.
Fringy: "Editing strikes me as an element of filmmaking--" RMB: "It is!"
BRUH. I'm sure he's a nice and talented guy, but this is a rough one.
