Side sleeper kind of lost as to what to choose from Casper, Helix Sleep, Nectar, Purple, etc. How did you choose? Does it matter?

I'm in dire need of a new mattress and there's so many new, modern mattrress companies out there. All of them claim to be the best sleep ever. All of them have awards and testimonials. How do I go about choosing from these different options? How did you end up choosing?

I have a budget of about $1000 -- but I value my sleep and am willing to pay a little more for something worthwhile.

I understand that I'll probably be satisfied with most of these...but is there any way to differentiate between all the different options?

EDIT: I am 6'1" , 180lbs, and looking for a queen-size
