I’ve been looking through the sub for recs on bases for latex mattresses (like sleep on latex) that aren’t plywood. I have a full size mattress with traditional box spring and tried plywood on top of the box spring (went to the hardware store, got it cut, brought it home) but it turns out that the 5/8” plywood I got has a very strong smell like laundry detergent and I’m someone with an extreme fragrance sensitivity. So that was given away on Craigslist.

Any other ideas? I looked at the avocado bunkie boards but they are meant to be put in a frame and come in sections - I don’t have a frame like that, I have a box spring without ‘walls’ for anything to sit in. Whatever solution I get has to sit ‘on’ the box spring.

Appreciate any help figuring out a solution that doesn’t mean me buying a new bed frame. I like the height I get with a box spring and don’t want the bed to be lower.
