A few years ago I tried to spend a few months trying to find a good mattress. The suggested method was to go lie down on a bunch of them and see which feels best. I tried that for a bit and bought one from Sleep Country. But that ended up not being right (despite my having tried it out in the store a number of times). I've forgotten if it was too hard or too soft. They allowed one exchange so I got another one. Also after trying out in the store. That's ended up being too hard. It seems 15 mins of lying down doesn't give a good idea of how one will feel after a few hours.
Anyway so although I lie comfortably enough on the mattress when I wake up my lower back is sore. To counter this I've been putting two blankets under me when I sleep. One wasn't enough. That's made things much better. But it's not the ideal solution.
Will putting a mattress topper work? If so is there something specific I should look for, or just filter amazon for the highest rated within the price point?
Once I put on the mattress topper will I still be able to put the elastic bed sheet over the mattress, will it fit?
Would appreciate any guidance!
