I believe it was around the time that the Mega Desk window shattered that Sam said she watched Supernatural growing up. At first it was a bit of a joke, and Sam knew it would be treated as one. However, I myself recently started watching the show, and now I want them to test some aspects of the show. The idea of the "ghosts" being passed patients, and are unable to rest because they passed away with strong emotions. What if the place is haunted, and the spirits are only trying to scare them away, so nothing bad happens to them. Maybe Sam's little joke on Supernatural, might actually be helpful to them in their current situation.
