technique for solving for x in (x-1)/(x+1)=0
Post Body

Hello, it's been a long time since my math classes and I can't remember how to solve for x in this situation. I don't need anyone to solve it for me, I just want to know how I get the x out of the denominator position in a situation such as this where I can't multiply both sides by the denominator and I can't cancel out parts of the fraction. Thanks for any assistance :)
