Last weekend, after thinking that I had my histamine under control with a low-histamine diet, I stupidly drank a few glasses of red wine and broke out with the most terrible papular rash all over my stomach and hands.
Almost a week later, and it has not improved (seeing doctor tomorrow). Now, anything I touch with the slightest pressure (even supposedly non-allergenic cotton) turns into some kind of pimply, papule-y spot or welt.
I looked up some symptoms of MCAS and it listed things like abdominal pain, diarrhea, coughing, etc. I have none of that. Only my skin is acting up. Everything else is fine and healthy, which is making me question if it actually is MCAS or something else.
What do you think? Is it possible to have MCAS but to feel 100% fine apart from terrible skin?
Edit: Also, would anyone know how long roughly this terrible rash will take to clear up?
