any tips if I want to lock myself up all the time?

I've been trying to stop mastrubating and wanted to try chastity cage. I tried to put it on but the balls part of the cage is somewhat hard to fit in (if my balls aren't hot enough). For the most part I love the cage feeling especially when I go outside, but I have been having problem with morning wood, and I would feel pain every time it happened. Any tips?
