Are postmodernism and marxism compatible?

I recently entered a leftist group, and a few people critisized me when i posted a link to an article by Foucault, then it started a whole discussion on wether marxists should or shouldn’t take post-modern thought into consideration and if it is compatible with marxism at all, im pretty new to theory, so i would like to ask you guys your opinion. Also, most of the group is made of Marxist-Leninists and Maoists.
