At the beginning of gaudians 1 we see an 8 year old quill watch his mother die and run out of the hospital we then see him get abducted by the ravagers but the imagination of an 8 year old is vast and the trauma of seeing his kosher die from cancer can cause him to retreat into his own imagination where he meets a father like figure who is a space pilot who he becomes a pirate with untill he goes on an adventure where he meets a talking tree and racoon and also gets as well as other various characters while going on his space adventure he meets his actual father who his he never met in real life later he teams up with one of the most famous people in the world (Tony Stark) and helps him save the universe from the evil dad of his space girlfriend his girlfriend dies and then a version of her from the past shows up and he goes on tons of different adventures after that on the end he realizes that he dosnt need to live in his made up world and decides to find his grampa who he left and ran away and entered the reality that he constructed for himself through his traumatized psyche.
