Imagine moaning about Sony "not caring for the actual characters" and then immediately suggesting that Felicia Hardy be thrown into the crapper and give Liz Allen the Black Cat mantle.......

I guarantee I’ll be able to show you how the MCU Liz Allen/Toomes can meet those characteristics.

Dude, you can't just force random characteristics you hear on reddit onto a different character and call it a day. That is some truly ass-backward writing right there.

To respond to people's cries of wanting Black Cat by fitting a Liz Allen round peg into the Felcia Hardy square hole is a banal decision. Especially after Jed Mackay did an amazing job with the character in his Black Cat run. It would be Barakapool from X-Men Origins all over again, and no amount of "bUt thE yeEers sINCe" is gonna pass an excuse for the true laziness of that.

Much like how a lot of people can't wait to not watch Agatha All Along lol.

I mean, Spider-man: The Animated Series kind of did it first 30 years ago

And it also had Maxwell "Electro" Dillion as the son of the Red Skull himself

Look, I love TAS and grew up with it on Jetix. However, it was not perfect as an adaption and aspects can be improved in future ones. Not to mention some aspects people straight up ignore when comparing it to other ones (people upset with the Kraven film "making him an anti-hero" would go Chernobyl when they actually see what TAS did with him).

Just because a previous adaption went wild doesn't mean every other has to do things differently for the sake of being different.

Stop going "Simpsons already did it" with other adaptions. You aren't basing it off of those, you're basing it off the comics themselves.
