Veterans in beginner blitz?

My account is 24 days old and I am in the beginner blitz. I usually do 600k score to get into top 200 in blitz fairly easily. Ghost rider blitz ended and I placed 2k with 600k and apparently the vast majority of the players above me are in the 2mil CP or higher range and some completed DD2. Did something happen that I wasnt aware of or is this a huge mess up? Really dont want to lose out on 85 ghost rider shards.
