Hot Take: I think hard to collect cards is good for the game state.

Opinion: When it's easy to get a whole collection like in LoR for example. Lots of times you get a meta where the variety of decks in common play is narrow. That's because everyone is running the same net decked versions of well optimized decks.

High tier play in Snap sees lots of decks that can ramp effectively because they have optimized decks and larger card collections; but I think the average player has the cards to be competitive. Variation from one players collection to another makes them build from different cards andake different tech choices.

Do I want to play fun meme decks and be able to theory craft and play whatever deck I want? Yes. But I think I find the competition much more interesting when other players have different collections.
