So here it is, the obligatory "new reader, need suggestions" post. I'm a huge DC Comics person, but I'm branching out into Marvel territory as well. I am an X-Men die hard, and have read extensively into many of the major graphic novels/trade paperbacks of the most important stories, and am totally confident in what X-Men comics I need to read.

However, this certainty is not shared with the rest of the Marvel universe. For many of the heroes I'm most interested in, I don't know where to start. I also don't know which of the Marvel NOW! titles are the best and are worth picking up, so hence my questions.

Suggestions for reading up on these characters?:

• Thor
• Spider-Man
• Venom
• Ant-Man
• Doctor Strange
• Daredevil (Besides the obvious Frank Miller run)
• Fantastic Four
• Thunderbolts
• The Avengers
• Captain America

Also, beyond or including those characters, which Marvel NOW! titles are the best at the moment?
