Hi there! I'm a 37 yo married dad here just checking in after a long break from this sub.
I've been working from home for the better part of 2 years and while I usually enjoy the silence but current events have it feeling a bit more isolating lately and so here I am. I'm a horrible self-promoter but I'll do my best to give you some info about me.
I'm a big fan of music especially live music. I play bass, mostly as a hobby at home but I have been able to play with others in the past which is always fun. My personal genre of choice is 2000's emo and pop punk (it wasn't just a phase) but I can enjoy a lot of other genres as well. I enjoy documentaries a lot especially historical or true crime types. I also have a slab of comfort shows that I watch while I actively avoid my list of new shows I say I am going to watch. I still enjoy going to the movie theaters to see new movies when they come out. I have 3 cats as well who keep my company while I work. I want to read more, but reading for pleasure has never really been a hobby of mine but I am trying to expand on that. I'm introverted at my core but I do still enjoy being social in the right situation.
I've been working on bettering myself more lately whether that is physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. I have always felt that I am very empathetic and genuinely care about the well being of others. While I don't think that politics are the end all be all of life I feel like it's impossible to ignore nowadays so if that is something that is important to you, just know you can find me on the left.
I'm looking for someone who can relate to feeling stuck and lonely but maybe doesn't want to accept that is has to be that way. I don't want to put a ton of pressure or requirements for this. I'm open to anything from casual conversations up to possibly something long term it sort of just depends on how we connect and vibe. I don't have a "type" and I can honestly say that I've been attracted to many different types of women and not just based on physical attributes. Ideally you are 30-50 and married with kid(s) just for an ease of understanding. I am in PST but time zones are not a huge deal for me if it can work. I also understand that life outside of this takes priority and do not expect someone to be available at all times.
This has gotten a bit longer than I expected but if you made it this far and would like to chat, feel free to reach out.
