Where to begin?

I’m a 170 lb bag of contradictions. I’m married, but wanting to find a new, deep connection. I’m a father, but I’d hate my daughter to marry someone that looks beyond their marriage.

I’ve tussled with it long enough, though. I’m not looking to leave my wife. I love her deeply. She’s accepted the darkest parts of me. She’s a great mother. My kids have great lives. But I’m just not one that’s able to forego the excitement and experience of meeting new people, learning what makes them them, and sharing myself with someone new.

I’m self-employed and have been since I was 20. My life and home are stable. For better or worse, I’m able to compartmentalize my desires away from my home life. I love mountain biking, hiking, golf, and AI. I listen to self-improvement podcasts to the point of routinely angering those within earshot. I run marathons but won’t ever give up my Ben & Jerry’s.

I’ve been through the wringer and find joy in accompanying those that are currently in the wringer and are needing help to get out. I love a good two-sided trauma dump (but not right off the bat).

In terms of being here, I’m just looking for someone that can be focused on the connection between the two of us. My wife and I are in the roommate stage — by the time I’m home from work, she’s touched out and talked out and that’s left no reasonable time for connection. I want to hear about your day, tell you about mine, flirt, joke, cry, and just….be there for each other. I miss feeling like there’s another adult in the room that knows me and wants to dig deeper.

Physically, I’m 6’1”, 170 lbs, toned but not ripped. I have light brown hair and blue eyes, a trimmed short beard. Call me egotistical, but I am conventionally attractive. I’ve been told that I look like a Walmart-brand Justin Timberlake. Body pic in profile.

I don’t want to blow up your life or hound you for nudes (though they’re welcome). I simply want to connect with you and provide an ear and voice when you want it.
