This week I’ve found the loneliness particularly painful.
I’m not looking for anything earth-shattering. I’m not looking to change my situation or anyone else’s. I’m not aiming for passion or pleasure or even necessarily romance — just connection.
I want to talk with someone who’s excited to talk to me.
I want the attention of someone bright, thoughtful, interested; someone willing to have a conversation and willing to let that conversation pause if needed. We may not be best friends, or perfectly romantically compatible, but it won’t matter because we are connecting.
Here’s hoping we can meet, and stay up a bit too late together.
About Me: 35M, married, 1 kid, EST. I enjoy reading, video games, Lego, ice hockey, baking bread, board games, and dogs. I’m passionate, invested, willing to listen, and honest. I go for quantity over quality in dad jokes and I’m known to talk for way too long about my latest hyperfixation.
About You: Enthusiastic about life; excited to start (and continue) a conversation; willing to respect boundaries; 30-40; someone who understands themself and is realistic about what they want.
Thanks for reading, and considering me. Hope to hear from you soon.
