Hi y’all,
37 y.o. Dad here hoping to make a connection with someone in a similar situation. On paper things are good enough but there’s a lack of warmth and excitement that can feel intolerable at times. After so many times of communicating that, and a similar number of efforts to address it I’m at a point of taking a step back acknowledging there’s other sources for it. I’m not looking to materially change the situation, after all it’s comfortable, but I need more and can offer more.
A little about me: I’m in mental health for my day job when not dad-ing. I enjoy reading, exercise, cooking, board games, and gardening (weather permitting). I try to find the humor in everything - I think that’s a near essential part of my work - and love to laugh even when that might be poorly timed occasionally.
In a perfect world you’re also a parent who can appreciate where I’m coming from. Work can be variable from day to day; I’ll be available all day sometimes and nearly silent on others. I want something longer term and to include being friends above and beyond sexual chemistry and desire.
Thanks for reading - I hope to hear from you soon :)
