Really seeking to understand what it is that causes people to ghost… and I don’t mean within the first couple hours of conversation. But when you’ve spent days, weeks, or even months getting to know someone, and expressing interest. Pretending like you care…. If at some point it’s no longer working for you, why can’t you at least be adult enough to say something along the lines of “hey- it’s been nice, but I’m not feeling this connection and I think it’s time we moved on.” Maybe it won’t be well received but blocking features exist for a reason. If someone has invested that much time into getting to know you, why leave in the most hurtful and damaging way possible. Do you get off on knowing someone is driving themselves crazy over the thought of what the fuck happened while also dealing with the sometimes gut wrenching sadness of losing someone they had grown to care about? No I’m not here looking for anyone else to talk to, I am done. Just want to understand how some of y’all can be so cruel to people who genuinely cared about you. Do better.
Edit- do y’all lack reading skills? Or think you’re an exception? lol. My inbox is blown up. I’m likely not going to respond so don’t take it personal. Just really not looking for anything here again. No thank you. ✌🏻
