Hey -
I am feeling very lost right now and just needed to post. I fully expect to not get a response from this but just really wanted to see if I could find that person to make me smile again.
I am 36 and live in EST. I have a ton of time during the day to chat. I’ve been in the same relationship for 2 decades and it is clear we are together for the kids. If she met me today I wouldn’t be her last choice or maybe even preferred gender.
We are polar opposites and I just miss having someone to nerd out with. I’m big in TTRPGs, Star Wars, LOTR, and Fantasy. Avid reader and I would hope others find me smart and well spoken. I am a little chunky but in shape. I run and cycle daily.
I work in high tech job and it always keeps me busy.
The kicker for me was my mom passed away last week. Instead of being there for me she kept on with her normal routine including her planned fun nights out with her friends.
I guess faced with grief I am looking to see if there is someone out there that can make me smile. I don’t want to blow up my home life just yet because it is the only life I have known.
I’m really looking for a friend to chat with and really see if we can connect. Down the road see if it goes into something more. I know we all have needs too since most of us are probably in DB and I am open to that when it feels right but I’m not looking just for a sexting buddy.
If you share my affinity for nerdy thing, message me your favorite story. Bonus points if you have a favorite D&D character you can share.
