Let’s escape from our boring, carpool, cul de sac lives for awhile. Let’s be bold together, even if it’s in secret. Let’s laugh. Let’s kiss. A lot. We spend all of our time doing for others. Let’s do something just for ourselves. Let’s do something soon — before we chicken out, or before we convince ourselves that life got in the way once more of our feeling fulfilled.
Let’s meet for that coffee we don’t end up drinking because we’re chatting smiling too hard, and because we’re hoping to share a kiss at the car at the end and don’t want to ruin our breath. Let’s set up a hotel date where we can’t believe we’re there but can’t imagine being anywhere else in that moment. Then, let’s return to real life knowing we’ve been appreciated and enjoyed, and knowing that we’ve got a selfishly singular piece of our lives that’s just our own. Then, let’s plan our next meeting.
