Watching this season and it’s so obvious what this couple is doing. They each go nuclear. One says or hints at ending the relationship…the other person gets hurt/scared and fires back “ok leave then”….they go back and forth and then the person leaves. And then the other one gets mad that they left and feels abandoned.
I used to do this too and my therapist basically said “stop threatening to end the relationship. If you say it you better actually follow through”. We still split up but it was still good advice.
Someone needs to tell them that.
