Been working up to this. Kids are 16 and 20, both girls. One bi, the other gender non-binary and describes herself as queer.
Older one goes to school far away so we waited until she got home.
Things went as expected. They were excited for me, ran around happy that both their parents werenโt straight, and finally asked what is happening with us. Since we are staying together, we reiterated that. Anything more personal about our sex lives is not really up for discussion but we are expecting questions.
I am sure more discussion and communication will be had over the next few days and weeks.
Just happy to be able to be more authentic with my kids and another hurdle down in me being just the one me with no closets in sight!
