I don’t know what it is about her, but no matter what I do she will never give me just one ounce of praise. I’m not looking for everything I do to be noticed. I take that back. Everything I do is noticed. It’s just she always has something negative to say about it. Cook dinner? Has something to say about how I could have done it this way instead. Do laundry? Has something to say about how one of the kids clothes got mixed into our laundry. Bought some new scents for the house? I didn’t take into consideration that she might not have liked them. Even though that’s literally what I did before I purchased them. But! And here’s the funny thing! Her phone was on the nightstand after she made the scent comment and her friend had replied to her saying “I don’t know why you can’t just tell him you like the scent he picked if you actually like it.”

What the fuck does that mean?! She has some reputation here she needs to uphold and can’t admit to me making a good decision?

I’m lost. Maybe I do just do everything wrong. I’ve told her I could be one of her friends husbands that plays video games or leaves at the drop of a hat to hang with friends and leaves their wives at home with the kids. The kind that doesn’t lift a finger to help with anything around the house. Meh. Just venting I guess. Maybe she’ll come around. It’s only been 22 years….
