My (34F) husband (37M) of 12 years was out of town recently for 2 weeks for work. One night after I got out of the shower I took two pictures and sent them to him. We have been in a slump in our marriage to begin with, just kind of distant. But I missed him and I wanted to do something to show that. He was driving back to the hotel with his coworker at the time (which IMO is part of the fun since I know he can’t act on it right away). We messaged back and forth for about a minute. Then I heard nothing back from him for the rest of the night. He was back at his hotel 10-15 minutes after I sent the pictures. He says he took a shower and went to bed. I felt so rejected. Still feel rejected honestly. I’m really struggling to get over this even though it’s been almost 2 weeks now and he’s been back for a week. I am pretty positive that he was not cheating on me. He was on this work trip with a coworker, also male, who happens to be my best friend’s husband. They only had one car and the coworker had the keys. The coworker called his wife as soon as they got back to the hotel. Where do I even go from here? Am I blowing this out of proportion? We have talked about it and I was open about how it made me feel, he apologized, but I just have not been able to shake the rejection.
