I (41M) came to the realization that in our 10 years together, she (39F) has never sent a single flirty/dirty text message or picture.

Now since we grew up in the pre -smartphone era, I thought that maybe this stuff didn't come as naturally to us, or that it was the younger generations who were into this. However, the more married men my age I talk to, the more I am starting to think I was wrong. Hearing stories of people sexting with their SOs all day and even getting nudes unprompted is so outside my reality that I can't even fathom it! I have sent some flirty texts to try and get the ball rolling but all I ever get in return is a wink emoji.

Has anyone here never sent or received a single spicy message/picture, to or from their spouse? If not, is there a reason why?

(Privacy is an obvious concern, let's just assume it's safe and there's no chance of anything being leaked)

I am genuinely curious if there is a generational correlation or if it's case by case.
