I am M66. My wife passed away a couple of years ago. She never was much of a sewer but she had two old machines she would bring out once a year or so if she wanted to make curtains or something. Nothing elaborate - mostly hemming sort of thing.
It occurred to me that I may benefit from learning how to do the basics. I don't want to make myself a tux but maybe hem my pants or edge a sarong.
Does anyone know where I can learn the basics? I saw the Markham Guild course but it looked like it was for kids. I might seem out of place. I would be old enough to be their grandfather.
