The article is about the Catepillar strike. One of the workers, referred to as Mr. Williams in the article, said he couldn't afford his son's little league fee while being on strike. I wrote the writer, asked if he could put me in touch with Mr. Williams, and he gave me his phone number. I texted him and offered to pay the $40 for his son's baseball dues. Someone beat me to it!! He was very thankful and so glad to see there were honest and decent people in the world.
Now, it kills me that guys like this are fighting to make it for their families. We all just want to do best by out kids. It also kills me that we live in a system where it's shock when people voluntarily offer aid. Just wanted to share.
