Making Cannabis oil

I’m trying to make some edibles right. I have been looking up recipes and I’ve decided I want to make brownies (with the box you buy in store) and cannabis oil, but I can’t figure out how much weed and oil to use.
Does it really matter? I know oil doesn’t evaporate. So if I’m making the oil do I use the amount that the recipe requires on the box? And and however much weed I want to use? Or what?
I need help from someone who knows because I want to make them now
