Does anyone know the post 1700-s history of Dandelion Castle?
Post Body

I believe my direct paternal great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather Henry Pettit owned it and left it to his wife in his will because he didn't know she was expecting his son, my ancestor, would be born (in America in 1721--that's when he died). His wife died shortly thereafter, and his son ended up having children in France in the 1750s before ending up in the states spread out throughout the South after being in South Carolina, I think. I'd like to know who ended up with the estate, and what the whole story was. This is Dandelion Castle on the Isle of Thanet, by the way. His will calls his estate "Dandelion of Marget".
