I created two HYSA at the same time. Half at Marcus and half at Barclays.
Both accounts were opened the same week.
I transferred cash from Barclays no problem.
I transferred cash from Marcus... which was reversed.
I made sure to review the Marcus transfer before I used the funds because I've read the posts. Marcus showed the transfer as "completed" as did my brokerage.
I buy some shares. Woke up to see my brokerage account is in the negative.
Marcus reversed the funds later that day with no notification.
Luckily I had money-market funds to cover, which I sold immediately so it's T 1.
But if I didn't... I would have had to sell and take a loss on my new position.
I call and they escalate the issue. They tell me my personal info is not correct.
They MUST send a code to my phone to verify me and will not discuss the account without a code.
My phone is not eligible to send a code to. They forwarded the issue to another Department that will call me next week.
Marcus is more SECURE... so secure you'll have a hard time getting your money back!
