π« Blueberries (Vaccinium sp.) are angiosperms (flowering plants) that reproduce by cross pollination (as opposed to self pollination).π«
π« Blueberries consist of many species of the genus Vaccinium, such as V. tenellum, V. boreale, V. koreanum, and others. Cranberries, blackberries, and huckleberries are also in this genus. π«
π«Most commercial blueberries are grown from species that are endemic to eastern North America. But there are plenty of other species in the PNW, South America, Europe, and Asia. π«
π«The color of the berry itself changes depending on maturity. From pale green, to pink, to purple, and finally blue. π«
π«One of the most fun people on here was in fact, a blueberry. He (or she? I mean, fruits are actually mature plant ovaries, sooo idk) will be missed ππ«
