Hi guys, need some help to understand my options.
Situation : So I visited Scotiabank for an appointment at 3PM (the one near to Haney place mall) and parked my car in their parking lot. When I get back from the branch, I’ve seen there’s a parking ticket for improperly parked car. I remember while parking,I was really confused whether there was parking spot or not, as many of you might know, that parking space has really faded parking lines. While parking, I had seen around and found that it should not obstruct anyone as there was good amount of space around my car and it was not blocking any driveway. I am normally very considerate about parking and following rules, this is my first ticket.
I had parked in middle line and realized after seeing the ticket that last line for parking was just finished left side of my car. (Of course very faded - got ticket 3:01PM, like someone was waiting me to park my car there and give me ticket). FYI, driving lot was not full and had 5-6 empty spots to park.
My question is a should I pay this ticket? (86 bucks if paid within 10 days or 126). Should i dispute it?
I understand, this is not city ticket. What will they do if i don’t pay the ticket? Will my credit score be impacted? Has anyone had same situation?
Pics attached to understand faded lines. Please suggest. Thank you.
