They did basically what Nazi Germany did in 1940. Only they fast-tracked it to 6 days instead of 6 weeks

That's due to poor infrastructure. That whole region has suffered from famine, mass displacement, economic collapse, to modern open air slave markets for that very reason. A little bit of money and a lot of guns have become standard operating procedures in the shift of power. Something way too common in much of Africa.
They're basically like "fuck it....let's see what this next asshole can do now" because what else are we going to do?
