I just got my North Face Borealis in the mail, excited to have finally found my perfect all purpose backpack, only to find that the tablet sleeve in the front pocket was too small to hold my iPad Air 5. I know this probably seems like a small issue, but it's genuinely a dealbreaker for me, and I will probably be returning the bag.
Does anyone have any recommendations similar to the North Face Borealis, but with a bigger tablet sleeve? Specifically, I'm looking for something around 30L, with a dedicated laptop sleeve and separate tablet sleeve, with some organization, and good comfortable back support. The cord on the back would be very nice, but I'm able to live without it if I need to. I'll probably primarily use it as a college bag, but I want it to be big and durable enough to live out of for a few days, and maybe to take hiking and camping one day.
The hunt for my perfect backpack came when I learned that the LTT backpack is $250. That was my gold standard, but $250 is out of my budget and there are some other things in a backpack I'd appreciate now anyway; not sure if I'd wanna take the LTT back camping, although I guess I could. Either way, I'm looking for something around $150, but lower is of course always better.
