So my "dream car" would be a 98-02 pontiac transam. But I don't want to learn how to drive a manual transmission in one of them because I don't want to destroy anything related to the transmission or clutch while learning. I'm thinking that If I get an older car like a pontiac fiero with a few problems already and fix it and learn on that then I get both learning experiences of manual and vehicle maintenance outside of oil changes. Are there better cars for that though? For at least learning manual, that's my main goal or should I say screw it and just go for the transam and learn on it anyways? Thanks!
